Dollymount, Dublin, 18 Oct 2009

#1 Post by jd »

People:Me

Duration: 5:20-7:30

Tide:Low at 6

Weather: Pleasant enough

Bait: Lug

Rigs: 3 hook flounder rig

Results: 1 Flounder 42 cm, a squadron of pin whiting..

Report:

I had some bait left from my trip to Benone, so I decided to have a quick session to use some of it rather than throw it away. I arrived just before low water, baited up and cast out. The tide turned and I rebaited, casting out again. Moving back with the tide about 15 minutes or so later I had a nice bite. I was happy to see my nicest flounder of the year, about 42 cm. It was now dark, and my next few casts had my baits quickly hit by pin whiting. I called it a day at that point..
