went down with my son to teach him how to cast and reel , and caught a thorny back by pure chance , on sandeel , 5lb weight . , happy days .

Awee excellent! What part of the pier were u fishng and what way was the tide?

I was down for hours last night in search of rays but could only connect with doggies!

i was about thirty foot from top of pier on golf club side lad , i was using sandeel , about an hour before full tide this morning . pure jammy one off , never laid eyes on that fish before . when i was reeling the wee beasty in all i could think of was onions or chowder , then i saw my catch and almost shat my self , too ugly to keep and cook .
