Ballycastle Beach

#1 Post by crazyfish1983 »

People- Me and a Friend

Weather- Nice but windy

Time- Evening 4 - 9

Rigs- 2 hook flapper and flattie rigs

Baits- Rag and Bluey

Results- Me- 0 Friend- 1 good Flounder

Set off for North coast on sat afternoon. Weather was too rough, tried a secluded area no joy here- not even a knock on the rod. Headed for Ballycastle as it has always been a beach I wanted to fish. It gets deep quickly. After fishing for an hour or so my friend seen his rod know and in came a Flounder  . The first and last fish of the day. Still its alays nice to geta fish at a new spot. We also had our picture taken by some crafty amatuer photographer and posted on the BBC website. ( http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/spl/hi/p ... html/1.stm ). We were famous gor a whole 2 days.

unlucky with the blank man :( . we usually move over to pans rock (far right hand side of the beach) when the beach is'nt fishing too well. it's rougher ground but it holds a better variety of bigger fish   give it a go the next time you're up if the beach is'nt doing too well :P
