dublin bass sunday 4th october 2009, full moon!

People:me

Duration:9.30pm-12.30am

Tide:rising, full after midnight full moon

Weather:calm no wind 14degrees

Bait:fresh lug

Rigs:3 hook flappers

Results:two bass




Report:

dug some bait as the tide came in and enjoyed the light of the full moon. headed to dublin bay, southside in hope of a bass or two and that i got.
it took nearly an hour for the first fish, around 50cm (no camera tonight!)
good scrap but felt smaller on the retrieve, then another hour before the second of the night.
this was around 40cm and scrapped like a monster, even on release he objected to everything i did to help him on his way!
i missed a few big bites but was well happy to add 2 to my bass tally especially as i'm not fishing in wexford!

well done tom your getting them regular . i thrashed the waters of dublin for 3 years for a measly 6 bass 8)

right thats it! im coming up and i expect to catch one!! :twisted: all i can catch is bloody flatties!! 3 turbot tonight! 8) 8)

Whatever about Cortaz, your fishing is certainly predictable these autumn nights :D Congrats again. Dublin tide times must help, with the rise into darkness on the solunar good days
