rosies comp 4/10/09

Vessel:screaming reels,riptide,predator 11,wavecrest,off da hook

Crew:

Duration:9 till 6

Tide:all states

Weather:great a cracker of a day

Bait everything

Rigs:god knows

Results:well the day was to be a shark hunt as it was called off during the year but species hunt was on as well . 2 of the boats wavecrest and pretator 11 went sharking and got results 2 sharks for wavecrest and 1 for pretator 11 , screeming reels and my self and riptide went for species and do a bit of home work for the cork comp 2010 ,resulting in 18 species for screeming and 12 for my self not sure of riptide the format was catch 5 x each species easy said but we had 10 x species x5 and 4 of and 3 of 2 other species total for the day between the boats was 22 species inc blue shark i specimen ballon wrasse over 5 lb to tony tait on pretator 11 .on the up side of it i have found a decent red gurnard and tub mark first drop of the day i had a tub gurnard could not get one in 4 days of cork comp but thats fishing for ya we went back to the rosies bar for results nice fishing between 5 boats in one day and some light refreshments and must say the layed on a nice bit of grub for everyone there a big thanks to the staff good end to a long day on the road for 5 am got home for 10.30 pm

Those fresh mackerel went down a treat last night :D :D :D
