fished there the same day myself. very poor results until darkness when the whiting came on the feed. even the flats seemed scarce. the spot we fished a few days before fished better. long range during daylight fished best.

we had rag, lug, mackeral, sandeel, fresh mackeral, squid and crab. the results where rubbish by comparison. heard some nice plaice showed during the comp. no ray. mackeral where hoarding whitebait(?) in the surf.

a bad session- put me off fishing for a whole night!

OK M8 if U can find ur way to Greystones follow the coast road through Kilcoole and Newcastle and at the first crossroads after that (a few miles later) turn left and follow this road through all the potholes until u reach the railway line park up cross the railway lines u will have the beach to urself most times. At the moment I hear there is good tope fishing but I have not fished it lately.

Good luck and let us know how u get on.
