irish winners

don't know if I've posted this in the right place,but I thought you would like to know ,a lad fishing the irish pairs has posted on another website that eamon fogarty and partner have won the pairs.obviously not 100% as result is announced this evening but if its true well done .

no its true, was on the phone to eamon and paul whelan earlier on, also had 2nd and 3rd overall (i think), was alright appearently plenty of flounder, dogs and turbos, bass to 6lb, mullet to 6lb, a trickling of painted and a stinger or two. all in all a great achivement, neville charlsworth took the individual.

glad its true didn't really want to post as I wasn't 100% but thought people would like to know,well done to the winners looks like the trophy is starting to spend more time in ireland .

Eamon Fogarty and Paul Whelan took the top spot, some achievement against a very strong field. Congrats and a big well done to them.
Sea Species(25) bass, codling, whiting, turbot, seatrout, stingray, pollock, coalfish, longspine scorpion, ballan wrasse, dogfish, ling, pouting, poor cod, dab, mackerel, smelt, sandeel, launce, bull huss, painted ray, thick lip mullet, golden grey mullet, rock goby.
Fresh Water (2) brown trout, sea trout

Well done lads fantastic achievement.

Was down there myself for the week.
I would recommend the week to anyone whether you are into matches or just good fishing.
One of the lads who came down with us had never fished a comp before and had only shore fished a couple of times went away with the specimen bass award and was marginally beaten in the most specimens of the week award. He had four specimens flounder, bass ballen wrasse and painted ray and was beaten on count back.
UP THE DEISE!!!!!!!

If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

KStaff winning matches is the new black.
