Fishing in Southend UK

#1 Post by Guest »

Hi, i know this is an irish based website but i was hoping that someone on here might have fish (or still fish) at Southend in Essex. I havent any fishing experience and a present have a freshwater rod, however, i dont intend on changing the rod until ive caught something other than a crab. I have seen alot if information about rigs and want to know what might work in this area. I am not casting a huge distance, infact, i have walked out at low tide to the deep water channel and just hung the hook in over the edge. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

if you insist on not buying the right gear the only thing you are likely to catch is crabs..albeit that you might find more success in catching crabs in some of the local night establishments..probably saves the long walk to the end of pier though !!

Go to the local tackle dealer and ask!

I've fished off Southend.......... a long way off in a boat! :D

Pop over to http://www.total-fishing.com/seaforum.asp and ask on there. Good bunch of lads, someone will know the answer to your question.
