kERRY 14th & 15th September

#1 Post by craigo »

People:Myself & Fuzzer

Duration:Monday 10.30pm-1.30am Tuesday9.30am-1pm & again 11pm-2am

Tide:

Weather:Good Monday , Windy Tuesday

Bait:Lug, Rag, Mac, Crab, Gaper clam , Razor

Rigs:2 hook flappers & Pennel pulleys

Results:Dogs, Pollock , Strap Conger , Mac , Fuzzer fish & Bass

Report:Fuzzer wanted to fish Kerry on he's few days holidays so we left Monday afternoon . We spent most of the day Monday looking for a Ray mark we were told about but we didnt manage to find it before dark , so we settled on an estuary mark and picked up a few dogs .
Fuzzer forgot to pack a tent so he had to sleep in the car ( unlucky ) , Tuesday morning I rudely woke him at 6am so we could go explore and find another mark to fish .
I went spinning with Bass as my target species but unded up with a Pollock on the Feed Shallow good scrap trying to keep him outa the kelp . Another reloction and a strap Conger , Dog and a micro Pollock later and Fuzzer was into the first Bass of the day on a jellyeel while fishing for Pollock .

We packed up again aand headed to dig some lug for a beach session later that night . Started fishing at about 10 and hit a ball of weed first cast after reeling it in I went back to the car drunk off , sat there for an 45mins, snapped out of my sulk and returned fishing determined to get a fish after aboutan hour I had the first Bass then it was a fish a cast for the next hour landing 5 Bass ( the new magic number ) and dropping 2 on the shallows . I left my rod to speak to the other anglers on the beach to see what kind of a night theey were having . They were catching small Ray so I changed tactics and went further with my casts for the next hour but with no luck  So I finished up for the night Happy with my new magic Bass number
