Wicklow pier 13/09/09

#1 Post by bigsod »

People:just me

Duration:6:15 to 7:45

Tide:

Weather:Light breeze and sunny

Bait:rag and mack

Rigs:1 hook mini size 6 hooks and 2 hook flapper size 2 hooks

Results:Ballen wrasse, corkwing wrasse, dab, codling, coalie, whiting, pollock, tompot blenny.

Report:got out for a little while and wicklow pier was kind to me, not huge fish but pleanty of them and missed as many fish as i hooked.I used ultra light gear and some of the wrasse and coalies gave a good scrap. Good to see quite a few small codling hopfully bodes well for the future. All in all an enjoyable way to spend an hour or so.

You sure were kept busy bigsod.

Wish I could say the same, 1 1/2 hours in Howth harbour mullet fishing, 3 takes, no hook-ups, then the fish disappeared :(

Just back! Got penalty points for speeding, spent €100 on bait, broke a rod, lost 50 traces and fell in twice.

But sure it was only a little mistake don't worry about it Tony.
