Well done Newbie, that was fantastic report and I really enjoyed reading it. I know you had been putting in the hours recently and I'm delighted it eventually paid off and you got a well deserved Bass on lures. :D

Newbie, what a brillant report. Even if you never fished, you could feel the buzz. Push over Gilbey.

Well done.

Congrats on the Bass,

Re the Phone, I got one wet a while ago and it went mad, I turned it off and left it to dry for a few days and it worked again then I immediatly traded it in (got €100 off the new ones). TBH mine was damaged by fresh water, salt water would be more corrosive so good luck.

Bit late to the party but as regards that phone (assuming you've not chucked it out yet)

Take off the back, remove the battery / sim and use a hair dryer on full blow but COLD not warm for about half an hour.

If water got in behind the screen, bin it

If it was in the sea for more than a few minutes, you should wash it out with fresh water first as the salt will cause corrosion.

Works about 50/50
