Sligo Beach Mark should have known better

#1 Post by Wozza »

People Just me:

Duration 3 1/2 hours :

Tide flood till on turn 11.30am -3.00pm:

Weather unseasonally sunny hot:

Bait Squid, Blacks mack sandeel :

Rigs pulley & flattie:

Results a reddening of the skin unbeknown in September in Ireland:

Report

Went to a local (30 mile) strand in the hope of hitting a Bass or 2 after hearing that someone had hit into them during the week.

Got there and was hit by worst fears and instinct should have been followed and found another mark but thought I knew better and fished with bloody daytrippers on the strand.
Went to the rocks where I thought I wouldnt be bothered.

Set up 2 rods 1 with 3/0 pulley baited squid and blacks and fired out past the weed second set up with a size 2 hook flattie rig baited with sandeel and sent onto the sand bank and waited, within 10 mins was joined by 3 young lads asking the usual and then f**kin around chucking bricks etc told em to f**k off , low and behold Daddy turned up and we had an exchange of words with the result being him giving the kids a rollocking (good result).

Blow me walking to bring rod in after my chat to change bait had half a nibble on flattie rod and my thoughts of fish were dashed when I reeled in and no bait on hook taken or lost in retrieve will never know changed baits and fired out again repeated proces numerous times then was joined by idiots on Kayaks, who stopped to question me and managed to pick up my line, "tossers" !! F**k me they stopped and had a chat on way back to the strand,    By this point I was well and truly fed up so packed up and went home.

In summary a good day with a top up on the tan but we gonna starve this evening. There always next time !!
