Report: Bassmania and myself decided that everything looked good for a quick run down the coast, Arrived to a mark that we had not fished for a few months, got the gear set up and baits out. Eventhough it was warm and calm there was still a nice surf, we had great expectations but after about an hour and a half i was ready to through my hat at it ( if i had remembered my hat) so i rebaited my 2 hook rig and left fly as far as i could as i had been fishing close in,
within 5 minutes the rod tip was rattling and after a few minutes up popped a 3 lb bass, couldn't believe it so rebaited and whacked out the bait again, within about 10 minutes the rod took a right wallop and up came a lovely 5 lb bass, at this stage Bassmania did a Usain Bolt up the beach, 
it was like watching Chariots of fire (sorry Brian, couldn't help that one) . after that few minutes of magic it was as if the fish had moved on. Bassmania took a knock on his rod and up came what we think is a small pouting. Great session hadREgards
