Greystones 10/09/09

#1 Post by Richie07 »

People:Me

Duration:19.15 - 20.15

Tide:lw at 19.45

Weather:Fine

Bait: Lure - Xlayer

Results:1 Bass @ 6lb, 3 Pollock, best was 3lb.

Report: Quick session, Low water, good conditions, and wanted to try this new xlayer, actually was only going out to get a few macks for a bbq tomorrow, but couldn't resist a shot for a Bass as it looked perfect. Great take on the xlayer, and the Pollock put up a great scrap too, thought it was a Bass. Happy days..but a few hungry people tomorrow who were expecting Macks

Not a bad result for an impromtu session hey 8)

You didnt keep the pollock for the bbq then :?:

Them x-layers really seem to be the en-vogue lure currently.

Not heard much about the macks down in greystones this summer, have there been a few around ?

Last time I was down there, the colour in the water coming out of the harbour was horrid

Good work on the bass Ritchie, I eventually managed to winkle one from that spot I met you at last time but it certainly wasnt a six pounder. If youre heading out that direction again soon give us a shout.
