anyone tried or use the cheap rt line, think its called ultra max or something? i tried a fill of 15lb of it a few weeks ago and it seems to do the trick nicely!- cheaper when it comes to birdsnests anyway!!!!! :lol:

Think that is what I have on my small spinning fixed spool, in 10lb breaking strain. Found it very springy initially but has since settled down.

I recently bought some Fladen Pro Vantage line in 0.35mm. (14lb) and think it's better than the Shaky Sea Specimen ( cheaper too ). Have you tried it Phil?

not yet mate but after another couple of birdsnests i'll maybe give it a go.......... gimme a fortnight!!! :lol:
