somewhere in co.sligo

just a quick report lads...went out to my new fishing venue to catch conger and wrasse,another fruitfull session :D caught loads of wrasse and broke my previous pb wrasse.i hook up to another monster a 5lbs+ wrasse :shock:....and followed by strap conger one landed and one lost :cry: ....here's the pictures

nice one on the monster wrasse zeke :shock: :shock: :shock: gotta show fish that size a lot of respect. it's amazing to think of all the obsticles they have overcome to reach that size. illegal nets, crab pots, creels, illness and bigger predators. added to that, just the age of a fish that size would at least be 20 years old :shock: :shock: :shock: excellent fishing man 8) 8)

you're very right buddy i know some lobster man using pickled wrasse for bait to catch lobster and i do lot of respect on this fish.a quick measurement,pictures and release to fight another day :D

Nice wrasse there Zeke. You'll get the congers around for another month or 2. I've always caught bigger eels in september into october.

The smoothie quest is still a quest. I was down in Wexford at the weekend but I didn't get any. I might give it one more bash this weekend, it's wrecking my head that I can't get one but god loves a tryer or so I'm told.
