Report:Went to a currean mark that we like, had the usual rods out,one at distance and one in close,Jason went with a conger rig as he has not caught one this year, and went feathering with the other.About half an hour into the session he hooked up with a mackerel, and soon after two more, then he lost two more as he avoided a rogue wave that tried to drown him never seen a man move that fast in my life!!Usan Bolt better watch out I had a slow start but then connected with a pollock, not big but saved the blank! Then Jason had one,a bit bigger,as he was feathering, his conger rod showed intrest, but he got to it too late and the conger made his lair! there was no shifting him,and we tried!! fifteen min putting pressure on and "twanging" the line made no difference, finally Jason gave up and pulled for a break at this stage i was catching small pollock and coalies every cast, and getting bored i changed tack, set up a float rig freelining a thin strip of mackerel, and within ten minutes i was into a mullet! It gave a great fight, but as usual we had no net Jason tried to lift it up after i tired it out, but it came off the hook as he lifted it.Nice fish too,at a guess id say 4-5lb.Jason switched over to a float rig and during the next hour we managed to lose three more!! By this stage the light was going and we were like drowned rats.Time to pack it in.It was a good session, all in all quiet happy. Oh ya,i got a couple of doggies as well

I think hype may have been the wrong word to use the spot was recommended to me by a guy who had been fishing the fly near where i was. He caught on a night i blanked so i recon he was legitimate going to give it bash Tomorrow evening
awhh man!! the lost mullet must have been soul destroying but i'll bet if you had of brought a net you would'nt have got the takes after jordan lost his big conger at our huss mark i went out and bought the biggest net in the shop, and true to form since we've been taking it out with us we've not had so much as a sniff of a big fish. i think i'll tempt fate and leave it at home on our next outing good report and pics as always man
