Weather:drizzle,rain,down pour,rain and gales,just a normal summers day
Bait:sand eel,sprats,crab,feathers
Rigs:various
Results:7 mackerel 1 pollack 2 dogs 1 spider crab
Report:was headed to the mark i was going to fish the day before, stopped for a chat to 3 lads who had just set up to fish the mark that I fished yesterday, from my home town but i didn't know them passed on a few marks and details about the site then headed to the mark on the way saw 200+ sea gulls sitting on the rock i was heading for, good sign i thought and it was started with a dog fish then a double of dog and spider crab, the crab came off and got split on the rock so set up a rig for wrasse with some nice fresh crab meat but the wrasse won this time had loads of bites but could not hook any, tried some feathers later and landed 7 nice fat mackerel and 1 pollack about 1 lb weight
nasty weather started to rain soon after getting to the mark but still happy to get out
didnt bring the cam so pics from the phone

nifty thinking with the crab meat man mabey binding it on with loads of fine bait elastic will stand you a better chance with a hook up on it i'm sure the wrasse would find the sweet crab meat a bit of a treat. i'll bet they were going mad for it well done again man

i didnt see any big shoal of them but it was nice to get a few, saves buying bait
eyesreilly wrote:Well done, the last time i followed a flock of seagulls i ended up in the local landfill site
i fine the gulls great for knowing when to get the feathers in the water, they sit on the rocks for hours and as soon as they move to the water the fish are on the feed
