People: Myself and Red

Duration: 3 hours

Tide: Rising

Weather: Strong SW

Bait: Crab,Razor,Rag

Rigs: various

Results: 4 bass, 1 flounder

Report:

Got a tip off from Red about a mark thats fishing well a awhile back and finally got down there last night. Arrived at the beach just as the light was going and set-up with rag in close and a big razor bait at distance. Red turned up shortly after and I had my first fish while he was setting up...a small flounder in close on rag (blank saved). The rod tips were hopping a bit as there was a very strong cross wind but I noticed a good tug and tightened into solid resistance...thought I was snagged first but then felt that familar pull back and knew I was into a good one....after a few head shakes and runs he tired out and I waited until the surf was right before beaching him...unhooked him through the gills and into the weigh bag....9.1lbs excluding the bag...got a photo with the phone but it didn't come out well

It was Red's turn next with a nice fish about 3lbs also on razor...followed by another just over 8lbs for me.

It went quiet for awhile and Red missed a slackliner and dropded a doggie in the surf....I had 1 more bass around 6lbs which I though was bigger considering the fight from him. Called it a night shortly after....delighted with the nights fishing and biggest bass this year for me. :) 8)

Full credit to Dennis...It takes time, effort and patience to suss out a mark and he's done it here

And before anyone asks.....all C&R :!:
