well we didnt just go home not willing to admitt defeat we headed up the coast for a bit of sheltered fishing and did ok for ourselves on a beach with little surf ,was comical seeing john,s face as i grabbed his rodbutt as it went flying out of the tripod fair play he bust his cherry on a smoothy now!! and managed a bigger couple of them spikey yolks

Some nice fishing there lads, well done. I was thinking that you gave up pretty easy when I saw your first post but I should have known better. I'll have get out that direction later this week and see if I can get some smoothy action myself.

Ha i was in a state of shock ..... btw for readers i had just landed my first decent bass and was rebaiting when all of a sudden my rod went for a near hop never to be seen again ha luckily dodgie rodger was there and gripped it for me was a great nite and didnt get wet either (always a bonus in this country )
