Howth Haddock

#1 Post by 2Poc »

Just wondering if anyone has ever caught any Haddock in Howth?
I saw a couple of small ones caught a couple of hundred yards from the shore last week. First time I've seen Haddock around Dublin..

They used to be regularly caught on the boats out of howth, but there arent as many as there used to be but there is a sign of a comeback. Try the back of Irelands eye with hokkais baited with long mackerel strip.

That is actually where I saw them being caught.
They were taken on baited sabikis but were only 6 inches in size.

Thanks for the replies guys.
