Help in Northern Ireland!!!

#1 Post by crazyfish1983 »

I know this is a touchy subject but I really do need help. I have been fishing for bass for about 5 years now and have never even got a look at one not to mention have one on the end of my line. I have tried all the notorious spots up and down the coast. I have thrown every bait, razon, lug, rag, mack, blueys, crab etc etc at every tide state and time of day. I have also tried spinning with all sorts of poppers, divers and lures.

If any one could give me some pointers I would be soo grateful. I am about to loose the plot  .

Cheers

Hi There.
Well the only place i have heared Bass being caught here is up in Portrush and Carlingford. You will probrobly have a chance un Carlingford. Try Ballagan and Whitestown area as there is a good beach here.
There are Bass being caught in Laytown at the mo (outside Drogheda) if you can get down there.

Hope this helps

Great- thanks for the pointers. I will have to get down to explore. I will hopefully have more luck with the bass than I did with the horses a few years back.....

Thanks again guys

you fished for horses  you might try smaller hooks for bass  bass fishing can wreck your head alright, unfortunatly where you live is not exactly a bass hotspot and as a lot of lads know just cos you travell hundreds of miles to target them dosnt make the weather play ball or the fish  if you want one real bad why not pm cortaz he,ll tell ya when is the best time for improving your chances and when you get to waterford kidnap him and ply him with strong drink and wimmin  hey presto your in 8)
