headed back to a rock i got a bass last week with a supply of frozen crab courtesy of sharky,s been a nice day i tough that the evening time would be the same a little wrong got down to the rock mark around a half hour before high tide the rain started to come down and the wind was pushing it hard hitting off my eyeballs trying to watch rods was hard work i was great seen the glimpse of eyes in the water catching the light got 1 or 2 good hits but missed them around a hour after high tide i got a nice knock and then slack so had to reel fast and strike and was into a nice fish he ran like a train but was always in control as the rock is 2meters up he made some good run,s i thought i had a bigger fish than what it was on a great fight got him hooked nice just on the scissors easy to unhook just 2 oz,s under 6lbs.
just some advice i use the same rig i got a bass last week on 2 hook flowing 1 had all yellow beads and the other had all white and i got the bass last week and this week the one with all white beads dont know if it was just luck or not and i put the crab on with just the shell and body pealed left the claws and legs un pealed on it.

Well done Shane,
It looked to be a nasty night to be out with the wind and rain so great fishing to get a good bass out of it.

Nice fish boy, worth braving the elements for any night!
Good tip on the Peeler, on a cold wet night the legs can be fiddly to peel and use, nice to know its not always necessary!

Nice fish!
One thought: I dont know whether you returned the bass or not but there is a school of thought that there is a potential to damage the ligaments and small intinsic muscles around the neck of the fish if you hang it up by the head as they are not adampted to bear weight through these structures. (the potential for damage is likely to be worse if they wriggle). There is no proof either way, but hanging the fish in a bag from the scales (or from the bogga grip) is a way of eliminating this possible risk if you intend to return a fish.

i returned the fish and must invest in a grip i was thinking about that when weighting the fish that i could have been damaging him
