Malahide Estuary

#1 Post by Danshane »

People: Me

Duration: 06:30 -09:30

Tide: falling/rising

Weather: beautiful morning, calm

Bait: tide minnow lure

Rigs:

Results: sea trout (thanks Wayne)

Report:

Got up at six and headed to Malahide Estuary to try for Sea Bass on a Tide Minnow Lure.
After half an hour got a hit and knew I was into a fish. The fish didn't put up a massive fight and came in easy. It was caught maybe twenty foot out.

Fish didn't have 9 and 13 spine dorsal so I knew it wasn't a Bass.
Being a novice I'm not sure if it is a sea salmon?

Nice Sea Trout, can be a by catch if going after bass on lures.
Tight Lines.
