Hi Guys,
I am looking for a loan of a do it 6 & 8oz or 10 & 12oz lead mold or Ron Thompson 10 or 12 oz mould. Just looking for it for a week so I can make a batch of leads for the boat.
In return, if your interested I can load you a 6 & 8oz RT mould or for shore fishing I have the 5 & 6oz Namix moulds.
Cheers,
Kev

Re: LOAN Please - lead mould
Thanks for the offer. I'm specifically looking for the do it or RT moulds. The Do it leads are very compact, but it's about €60 for a mould.

Are you in any mad rush to get them?
I've DCA Bopedo moulds and RT ones, but can't think off hand which sizes I have - pretty sure though i've 8 oz and 12 oz in there somewhere.

Re: LOAN Please - lead mould
I never had much time for specific types of leads for boat fishing.
For years I’ve been using chrome pipe from the DIY stores a 6’ length cut in half (for easy use) and filled with lead will give you about 15 leads depending on the weights required.
Cut at an angle on one side and flat on the other they do fine for general fishing and cut at an angle on both side they do as a pirk for conger fishing.
The best place to use them is in depths where the chrome picks up the sun light and the reflection can attract fish to your bait.
When they get rusty and beyond their use by date a trip to the Electrical Wholesaler for some shrink tube and their back to new again in either yellow or blue.

I have a couple of RT's already (6 & 8oz. Just getting stingy in my old age. I don't often use 10's or 12's but I wouldn't mind a few just in case. Don't really want to fork out 30 quit for a couple of moulds that might only see the light every 2 years.

Not in a mad rush at all. I have a few 10's and a couple of 12's. Just wanted to make a good few up to do me for a good while.

Re: LOAN Please - lead mould
Had a looksee. I think I must have more moulds stashed away somewhere, I could have sworn I had a DCA Bopedo in 2 lbs.....
Anyhoo, I have a RT in 8 oz, and DCA Bopedos in 12 and 20 oz. Any good for you?

DCA 12oz would be great.... I'll PM you some details.
