Cahore Pier
2.30-5.30
Me and the messers
rag,sand eel and squid????????
Mini rigs, two hook flappers, flattie rigs
Results,Lots,Whiting, Pollock, Gobies, pouting
After a very messy night out in Gorey I promised the lads a spot of fishing.
Sent the lads to buy the bait and after a brief debate on what a frozen mac was off they went. Met them at Cahore pier and the rocked up with 2 bags of frozen squid! Luckily I hadnt the most faith in them so I had stopped off in Ballygarreth myself and got some rag and sand eel.
Set the lads up with one hook minis and told them to drop down the pier wall, they were into the minis and hordes of crabs straight away. A lad at the end of the pier caught what I first thought was some sort of flat but it was a little ray. So I fancied a bit of that but no joy, Got plenty of whiting and a few pollock. Tried for wrasse at the end of the pier but no joy there either a guy diving had told there was plenty a large ones around the end.
Thats about it really. The lads only broke one of my rods, A brand new one!
