People: Pat Spillane, Papa Smurf, Mga and Myself on the 17th Papa Smurf, Pat Spillane and Myself on the 19th, Pat Spillane and Myself on the 20th

Duration: 18:30-01:30 on the 17th 18:00-02:00 on the 19th and 16:00-00:15 on the 20th

Tide: Dropping

Weather: Fine on the 17th couple of showers on the 19th and gale force wind and constant heavy rain on the 20th

Bait: mackerel fresh and frozen, sandeel, squid, razor

Rigs: Various

Results: Bull Huss, Thornback Ray, Doggies, Mackerel

Report:

Monday 17th:
Pat Spillane was in town for a few days so arrangements had been made to target Ray and Huss. Headed out to Connemara and met up with mga and Papa Smurf who had just set up as soon as the tide had dropped a bit and the light was fading we were all into fish with doggies showing most casts then mga got a nice Huss over 5lbs 8) Papa Smurf got a Huss over 5lbs also 8) never got a photo of it though  then i got a Huss of 3lbs 13oz's we fished the tide till it started to turn but no Ray showed which was strange for this beach.

Wednesday the 19th:
Picked up Papa Smurf and met Pat at the Tackle shop we headed off to Connemara again to try a rock mark. Huss and Ray being the targets, Pat was on fire during this session get well into the 20's with dogs and getting the only Ray 8) (target species accquired) of the session a Thornie of 4lbs 8oz's i had a strap conger and few dogs Papa Smurf had some dogs and mackerel.

Thursday the 20th:
Pat picked me up from work and we headed out to a Connemara rock mark, the wind was really blowing and the rain was torrential but we stuck at it. There was a lad from Longford set up when we got there and he'd a few dogs a red gurnard and some mackerel. Sound fella he left me a fresh mackerel which duly caught me 3 Thornback Ray 8) 6lbs 10oz's 4lbs 14oz's and a tiddler i'd a constant stream of dogs which kept me busy. Pat was kept busy with dogs but unfortunately no Raymonds he'd a mackerel on a kilty too. Enjoyed the few days fishing Pats a sound fella and it was nice meeting up again been a year since our last session.
