The following morning I was out and caught this beauty. The fish faught like a demon and stayed very deep. It was by far and away the best fight I've had from any bass so far and I honestly thought I was into a fish of the calibre of a 15lber. When weighed he came in at 9lb 12oz. That surprised me  . Still a great fish though :D .

Well done Pat,
I just spotted this post now - and well done on the second specimen as well.
I will definitely have to get the spinning rod out now and have a crack at one of those big fellas.

The plug in the picture is a Green Mackeral Aile Magnet from Duel/Yozuri. Its a great lure. It suits situations where there is deeper water as it dives to 4 feet and is ideal for use from a boat. I reckon it has been my most effective lure over the years. The one in the pic is 125mm but the 105mm version is effective also. I normally get mine from Harris Sports or else Monster Tackle, and if I was to give you a tip get these or some patchinko's from Padge73.
