Dublin 8/8/09

#1 Post by Richie07 »

People: Me

Duration:5.00 am - 8.30 am

Tide:LW at 6.60

Weather: Fine

Rigs: Lure, Maria Chase.

Results: 1 Bass @ 7lb

Report: Decided to try a mark that produced for me last year at low water, the conditions and tide were perfect so off I went. I was losing hope and finding it hard to concentrate when my lure got hit at distance by the first Bass of the year for me, put up a great scrap, definetly more exciting than catching whiting on a lure! :D

Well done Ritchie, I'd say that Bass put up a bit more of a fight than the Whiting alright. :D Did you get that one from the mark you were telling me about the last day? I've tried there once or twice since but weed and coloured water made it pretty much unfishable.

Thanks lads..

Dave it was another mark that you can only get to at low water, I was looking at this place for a while last year, fished it once last year and got a result, if you look around at low water you would be surprised at the places that will throw up fish, it's worth doing a bit of ground work I suppose, you'd be surprised where I end up bringing the missus when she wants to go for a drive :D
