tramore bass
i must say thats a very impressive bass, what weight was it???how was it caught?floot fished,do they stay enar the surface,or do u need a long hook line, etc?just always wud like to catch a bass like that.i have come somewhat close, but that was a few years ago.was from near woodstown,on a ragworm ground fishing, some fight out of them,a lovely fish though.one of the nicest to catch.any information would be appreciated.

Tramore Pier Bass
Hi Tim Jim,
fish was caught on Mack strip about 2 feet below the surface at night.
The intended targets were the small Pollack that feed beneath the Pier wall but I'd imagine with all the Mackeral being filleted in the pier the Bass are coming in hunting for scraps after dark. Hav eofeten taken Doggies and Conger from there but never Bass.

Tramore Pier First Bass
Fish was weighed about 8 hours after capture in John O' Briens and weighed 9lb 8oz, I'd say it would of been over the 10lb Mark when caught.
Still a great fish!
