and conger rigs
Results: 12 anglers brought fish to the scales 42 keepers caught, including l.s. dogfish, pouting, ballan wrasse, pollock, and coalfish
Report: the area around cairnryan is prolific with some super sized wrasse being taken to 3.5lbs, young stu had the best fish 3.5lbs to take the heaviest fish pool and with four other fish including a pouting over a lb
the wee man easily took the junior section wee stuart lost a conger around 20lbs after geting it almost landed on the entrance to the pier area,
i had a good day to take the super pool , leg of club masters and the peter law memorial trophy with a bag of eleven fish wrasse and pollock with a total bag weight of 8.640kgs. lots of lost tackle however the fishing was excellant also there was fresh mackeral being caught constantly after the venue all the anglers who by this time were soaked to the skin made their way th the hotel were the grub was fantastic and the drink was flowing music was great and the peter law memorial cup circulated the optics on several occasions, beachcaster missed some crack with the carrick club and thier guests :wink: :lol:
