People- me and a mate
Weather- Disaster
Time- 18.30 - 1030
Tide- Rising (high around 11.00)
Rigs- Spinning rod and spinners, Besch rods & Rotten bottom
Results- my mate- 1 X 0.5 lb coallie. Me- 1 lobster
Before I begin let me apologise for my poor report- its my 1st one. My friend and I set off shortly after 18.00 to one of our favourite rock marks. Armed with spinners and mack's. Fishing is normaly great at this spot in summer months but was poor last nite. Commenced fishing around 18.45 and it was at least 1.5 hours before we hooked a fish even if it was a 1/2 lb coallie. Shortly after that I brought in what I thought was a lump of weed that turned out to be a lobster. Do you guys count such a thing as a catch? Following a soaking it was time to head home and get something to eat.

Re: Rock's Co. Antrim
Thanks guys- I dont actualy eat any of my catch (no-one can believe that a person mad keen on fishing doesn't eat fish full stop) they are normally all returned unless people have asked me to keep them a fish.
I am sorry I agree with you Minty- in that I think July is going to finish a complete wash out
. Still it may get the sea-trout and salmon up the rivers early- a small concillation.

Re: Rock's Co. Antrim
report was spot on man, just a pity the fishing was'nt a bit better for you
. some marks around the antrim coast seem to be a bit hit and miss at the mo
watched up to 20 anglers feathering for mack at bangor the other night with only 1 being landed in 2 hours. yet the night before that they were pulling them in hand over fist
i then got a phone call from a mate who was at carrickfergus harbour telling me they were there in plague proportions. what a difference a day makes
