Dublin Hounds 'n' Lobsters 15/7/09

People: Drummer and Tony

Duration:9 till 12

Tide: Falling

Weather: grand

Bait: crabs

Rigs:pulleys

Results: Drummer 1 starry hound 1 lobster / Tony 3 starry hounds 1 lobster


Went to greystones for a bit of spinning but there was too much weed good few lads fishing it got fed up and went home to get some crab up picked drummer up and of we went got to the mark fishing was slow but had a laugh catching lobsters i got two small hounds 2-3lbs drummer got some nice bite and reeled in a nice hound 6-7 lb on my 2nd last cast i got my biggest hound of the night there really isn't no point fishing for hounds when it gets dark :idea:

Yea they are around but they can be hit and miss i personally think the crab bait is the most important part when fishing for hounds

Hi Tony,

Had a few hounds, no lobsters though :D

nothing big, biggest about 5lb, Nearly forgot how hard they pull when the rod nearly went for a hop, twice!! Fitzer lost a big fish close in, it ran accross submerged rocks and the snood broke, could have been a spec too, ah well next time :roll:
