Shannon Estuary _ South Clare 10/07/2009

#1 Post by Ross »

People: Ross

Duration: 3 hrs

Tide: last 3 hrs of ebb

Weather: Dull, muggy, misty, overcast light SE

Bait:
28 grms Dexter Wedge

Results:
3 Bass

1 @ 3 lbs
1 @ 4 lbs
1 @ 5 lbs

RELEASED !

Report:
Went to my usual Bass haunt, a narrow channel with a rip of tide through it. First cast a 3 lbs Bass!
A little later a strong hit and a Bass takes off at high speed out to sea! He disappears out of view and I get worried as the line gets lower on my reel! This time a 4 lbs Bass. This was followed by a 5 lbs Bass. As the water went dirty and the green weed moved in the fishing went off.

He did the same thing last year, the boxes were just laying in the sun, It's a real shame he has destroyed a great mark.

Well done on the bass, some nice fish on the lure.
