wicklow harbour mini fest 9-7-09

People:me the da and brother

Duration:2.00-700pm

Tide:droping

Weather:a little windy but nice

Bait:rag,sandell,mack,feathers

Rigs:all sorts

Results:corkring,ballen wrass,whiteing,codling,coalie,mackeral,and ???




Report:arrived at wicklow and started about 2 o clock and from the start to finish we got fish first up was the brother with a whiteing the first of many and then me with a ballen wrass and then a small red codling about 1/2 pound then my da pulled in a nice size crab after that we all got lots of small fish from the list above above we must have had 50-60 between us fo the day my da got fed up catching the smalls ones so went mack bashing and got 2 i also picked up a fish witch i have never caught before so i need a i.d on it if anyone knows what it is in the first photo i did not bother takeing pics of the small fish as i wanted to get them back in the water a.s.a.p we all went home happy for some crab and mack fish cakes (very tasty)

Nice fishing there Tight Lines, that fish looks like a Tompot Blenny alright.

Well done - even if they were small at least you were kept busy - better to catch a a bunch of small fish than zero big fish :D
