Mullet and more!!

#1 Post by wilky83 »

People: Me
Time: 14.30 to 16.00
Tide : ht at 6.30 ish
Rigs: float and lures
results: mullet 0 , bass 1 (again)

Report:

Headed out again today in search of these eleusive east cork mullet :? , got to the mark a good 4 hours before high tide as i couldnt fish the high tide due to a few bottles of bulmers calling to me from the pub :D :D .
Got to the mark but wind was right in my face so the mullet fishing went out the window although they were feeding hard and i think they took some of my bread i couldnt tell for sure, so with new reel in hand ( leeda quicksilver spin) i thought i would see if any bass were coming as the tide really started to rip in almost cutting me off from dry land   , about half an hour in i spotted a bass so i cast to him and missed badly so as i cursed my luck when reeling in another bass took the lure ad went bezerk took 10 mins to land a quick photo and off he went, no weighing as tide flew in and almost wahed me lure bag away  :o :? , so all in all a good day ,think i might concentrate on the bass for awhile :D , and also need to thank mr Kilty for making spanking good lures :D :D :D .
