SLIDING FLOAT WITH MACKEREL STRIP
2 POLLOCK , 1 CODLING
HAEADED TO ARDGLASS ON SAT EVENING FOR A FEW HOURS WE WERE MEANT TO GO FEATHERING FOR MACKEREL BUT THERE WAS A LAREGE SWELL ON THE SEA SO DECIDED TO FLOAT FISH WITH MACKEREL STRIP AT ABOUT 20-25 FEET AT A SHELTERED SPOT I GOT 1 SMALL POLLACK AND A CODLING MATE GOT A GOOD SIZE POLLOCK. ANYONE ELSE FISH HERE LET ME KNOW OR IF ANYONE KNOWS ANY OTHER SPOTS NEAR ARDGLASS LET US KNOW CHEERS.

fished the back of the harbour on saturday - no mackeral about - bro had one small pollock,on feathers, tried mackeral and limpet baits , few small bites on the limpet, but nowt on the mack, tho a guy beside us had 3 pollock - biggest about 3lb. on float fished mack , seen some very good wrasse and pollock taken on slidin float an rag at the back of the harbour last august
best thing about Ardglass is getting massive bags of prawns off the boats when they come in

Probably my favourite mark. Any of the rocks at the bottom of the golf course fish well, good deep water. Wrasse, pollock, coalie, codling and plenty of mackerel in season.

Mack fishing on Ardglass is best around September!

i have a boat in ardglass marina, not many mackeral about as yet, your looking at late july onwards before you would get the big shoals. There is plently of small cod about, however thay are riddled with worms.
