East Cork Mullet and a Silver Jaguar of the Sea !!

#1 Post by wilky83 »

People: me
Weather: foggy then sun
Time: 2 hours up 3 hours down (HT 11.30)
Rigs: float, and lures.
Results: Mullet caught 0, photoed 8 :( :( ,
Bass 1 ( first of the year) :) :) :) :)

Report: I will keep this short went for a mullet session to a know hot spot but the mullet seemed more intent on sun-bathing :( :( , on the way home i thought i would try a bass mark that produced well last summer, first cast hooked into a nice silver jaguar of 3 1/2 pounds and about 44 centimeters :D :D :D :D , was shocked and what a fight i caught bass here before but this guy must have had a turbo fitted, as the water is shallow its usually easy to beach them but this guy had other ideas, kited left then right then left again ten minutes later i had my prize first of the year quick weigh, and photo and off he went to warn his mates about small fish with the word KILTY written on them :D :D :D :D :D

Great to see the fish posing for a few photo's, shame you couldnt hook up with them though.

Nice one on the bass though, not a bad consolation price.

Be careful, you will have the "BASS Are Sh*t" group on to you with a description like that.

Please re-post with "I caught a plain aul boring Bass" :)
Add in - I wasnt happy with it, it didnt fight, I would have prefered a flounder or something else and they might leave you alone...!! :D

I have noticed a few weird things about these mullets they are in pairs most of them and just seem to lie there then chase each other???? Cant seem to get them to feed at all , ya maybe some cuisine de france :D :D :D
