People:me & mick

Duration:8.00pm-1.00am

Tide:low at 10.50

Weather:flat calm and warm

Bait:fresh mackeral :lol: :lol: squid

Rigs:pulley, flapper

Results:me 2 mackeral, 3thornies
mick 2 mackeral, 1 dogfish, 7 thornies




Report:arrived on the beach got a bait in the water and decided to try a few casts with the feathers to see if any mackeral were about :idea: and had 2 right away :lol: :lol:, both were returned, (piece by piece) so mick had a go and got some fresh bait too :!:
I was the first to land our targeted thornie, about 6lb. then mick landed fish after fish after fish :arrow: :arrow: :arrow: , even a double of thornie and dogfish and then in the last hour I managed 2 more thornies. All thornies werer between 5 and 6 lb. my last cast even brought in somebodies lost trace and 4oz gripper :)
Then when we thought it was all over, on the way home mick had one last pull :lol: this time by the garda :oops: :oops: but he got off the hook :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Nice one guys,
I was there on Sunday evening and got nothing! The girlfriend was spinning for Macks while I tried for a ray and caught neither!
