Dublin smoothies 2/07/09

People:Tony fella and me

Duration:8 till 10

Tide:god knows

Weather:nice, light breaze

Bait:crab

Rigs:pulley rigs

Results:13 smoothounds




Report:went to this mark more in hope than anticipation and we both left very happy men.We got fish from the start the first one a nice starry for tony, come to think of it all our fish were starrys.Soon after i lifted into my first and i realised this would be a session to remember, We had rod hopping action for the next hour and a half with tony getting six and me getting seven.Bites were so frequent we both stopped using one of our rods each as we had to help each other land the fish.The fish ranged from about 3 to 5 or 6 pounds.A good session for a short amount of time.

2013 species:(15) Whiting, Dogfish, Three Bearded Rockling, bull huss, poor cod,turbot, flounder,pollack, spotted ray, thornback ray, launce, corkwing wrasse, long spined sea scorpion, common blenny,mackerel,

2012 species: Thornback, bull huss, Dogfish, pollack, Mackerel, bass, flounder, turbot, conger,

Cheers lads, twas wiered though heading north from wicklow on the n11 on a sessioin for smoothies, but you never know with fishing, it always has a surprise.
