mullet, Youghal estuary.

#1 Post by pointer »

29+30th june.
low water.
bread flake freelined..4lb line
fished youghal area in search of first mullet, first time trying.1 mullet each session and boy was it fun(after all the swearing that is).
Had grey mullet on first day and think golden grey on second day(had golden-yellow colouring all down flank),need help on this one.
first mullet just under 4lb and took 25 mins to tame, second one was twice the size but did not put up such a scrap,it still took me 200 yards along a quay side.should be shot for leaving camera at home. Each time hooked fish was mobbed by up to a dozen other mullet.Great sport and as some actor fella said, ill be back.
