Strangford Mullet 29/6/09

#1 Post by Fentster »

People:Me and Davy M

Duration:2hrs

Tide:Rising

Weather:Sunny, Light breeze

Bait:Bread

Rigs:Float

Results:Davy M-2 Mullet

Report:Arrived at the usual spot to find Davy already in action. Having missed about 6 from the best selection of Mullet seen there this year, he finally got into roughly a 2 pounder. 15 Minutes later having moved to a wee gulley he hooked a nice 3.6lb fish which took 5 0r 6 minutes to land. I had 3 hits but couldn't get into one :?
Still waiting for my first Mullet..... :x
Nice to see a good quantity at the mark for a change :D

just wrote a report on how the fish went and i was somehow logged out ffs  now i cant be bothered writing it again so here`s the short version.

fished mark 1 with fenster for 1.5hrs,missed about 6 fish but landed 2 8) unlucky mate in missing those bites, you`ll get it next time :)

moved to mark 2 and met colin, dawsey and kerry1&2.
i had 2 more mullet of 3.1lb(which kerry1 kindly took a photo for me) the other was 3.3lb :D
not bad for 2.5hrs fishing, hopefully there will be more sessions like that this week :)

well done dawsey on your first mullet.there`ll be no stopping you now

the bad news is that my bestest mate colin blanked  but he was really happy for me catching 4 mullet  i think i even saw a wee tear in his eye

here`s a couple of pic`s from mark 2

Hi Dawsey, well, are you still happy catching your mullet last night?
Why haven't you uploaded your picture? It was a nice fish you caught.
I take it you will be going back there again soon, I will be if the weather stays good.
It was nice meeting you last night, see you again soon no doubt.
Well done again.

What's wrong with his sunglasses? 8)
I think he suits them, they hide a part of his face and that has to be a good thing don't you all agree?

Hi again Dawsey , that's a really nice picture if I do say so myself.
I don't think I need to go on a photography course do you? (unlike someone else I know not mentioning any names)
Your fish is a decent size, congrats again.
I have noticed something - Davy's fish always look bigger than everyone else's but that's because he has small hands and fingers which then makes his fish look bigger
Perhaps Dawsey you won't see me out fishing for a while, I may have to hide from Davy after that comment!

Hopefully Fentster you'll get one soon too.
If you want to maximise your chance of catching one just speak to Colin C, he knows what he is talking about when it comes to mullet fishing, he taught Davy all he has to know! :) :)
