Tide:

Weather:Wet for a bit with a light wind

Bait:Crab

Rigs:2/0 and 3/0 pulleys

Results:Starry smuts, Doggies and dabaros

Report:After the lads success here on friday i had to give the beach a go and try to open my smut account for the year.We were greated by rain as we walked onto the beach but this did'nt dampen our enthusiasm as we had baits in the water in no time and got ready for some tripod rattling bites. We waited and waited only picking up the odd dab and dog, Packing up and getting an early night was mentioned more than once until i got a stonking bite and lifted into my first smoothie of the year a nice wee starry and after that my rod hopped of the stand again at least 3 times with no hook ups and one fish i lost close in due to a rig malfunction, the fish cut through my 60lb pully rig . Then Drummer got a rattling bite and after a nice fight including having to untangle tonys line from his, he also landed a starry smut.Tierdness and hunger got the better of us about 12 and we left to make the chipper where Tony ate twice his bodyweight and Drummer reminded me to include in this report that that was his 10th smoothie of the weekend, so fair play, thats a fair reccord Drummer.Tony will add pics later
