At last the dreamed double figure bass in North Wex 27.06

Duration:10pm-2am

Tide:high at 1.30

Weather:calm and later foggy

Baitstrike pro lure

Rigs:

Results:PB sea bass, and one smaller




Report: Yesterday evening I went for bass hunting. The mark is in North Wexford county, few days ago I observed bass shoals cruised around the weeds there. Some of the fish were realy decent sizes. I tried bash for them during the daylight, with no result. Went again last evening after dusk. I hit 2 marks. In the first I had only one light touch, and nothing happened for another hour. Being dissapointed and fed up I moved for another spot. It was already midnight. I arrived and settled down on my rock and then discovered that the tide is very high tonite. First cast, the lure swam about 10ft and....show goes on :) In first run the fish took about 50ft of my braid. There was many tail dancing after that and another few runs. It took me 10 more min to land it. It Was huge! My PB-80cm and 10lbs. Happy nights :lol: Had one more fish but only 65cm. Regards David

Spent an hour or so there yesterday had one follow all the way in but didn't take looked like a decent fish... tried a spot further South at lunch time with a pal of mine saw some nice fish cruising within a few feet but they weren't interested.... i'm over that way again next Friday for 10 days so going to spend a bit more time lure fishing as well as hunting smoothies.... mums the word on the secret weapon :wink:
