Duration:17h - 23h


Weather:sunny and warm, breezy

Bait:sandeel,lugs,maq,squid

Rigs:?????????

Results:6 species: dragonet (spelling????), ray , dogfish, pollack,whitening, maquerel


HI!
As I've got the best english of the 3 of us I've been designed to do the report!

So we arrived at 5 (high tide 7pm) lovely day very warm but windy as well

I started by a dragonet on lugs

then Conor had 2 rays (3.5lbs) one afer the other on maquerel

He then lost a big fish...????big ray???

a small pollack for me on maquerel (float fishing)

then a couple of whitening for steeve and Conor

and it was time for the doggies festival.....except for me!

Conor had a go on spinning and got a couple of maq

And at last....with a lot of effort and a lot of help from conor.....I got my first dog!!!!

nothing like running around connemara half naked.. well at least i wore jeans, them French lads go the extra bit of distance... :shock:

Your more than welcome Alex i'll bring some snakes back from wexford for mondays trip.... Glad you got your 1st doggie might have another try to get you a ray before you leave... 3rd time in succession getting into a really big fish off that mark that i couldn't get land... This one was defo a ray by the way it dived to the bottom oh well There's always next time.....

well done,nice to get 6 species,good luck with the hunt for ray,if you don't get one with conor you can try my mark in clifden it is producing ray now and you should have a very good chance of one

i am hoping to go tomorrow afternoon and i can go any evening after 6 pm and don't worry about being crap i am not too good myself,if you can cast out 50 to 80 feet you will be fine,i am sure conor and steve will hook you up with a ray if they don't i will try,let me know if you want to go and i will meet up with you
