Can't see the head/eyes but looks like a freshwater eel from above.

Where did you catch it?

. Hard to get him to pose for a piccie, this is maybe a better view,,,caught him in Bray Harbour.

that green clouration is a give away even if you cant see the head region and the eyes properly

It's a freshwater eel alright, Bray Harbour is full of em, easy to catch on a bit of mack

defo a silver eel also known as the freshwater eel, caught many of them on lough erne.
