Results:Bass & more bass & more bass
Report: Could not go boat fishing on Sat and so went spinning. Met Cortaz plus 3 others. Only one 8lb bass to a crab by one angler. Lots of weed due to the strong NW wind. Back out that night and wind had gone down a bit and was frpm the west. Action started at 9ish and was non-stop. Cortaz, Denis and I had over 20 fish. I won't say who caught the most fish as he will get a big head. All fish were schoolies around 2-2.5lb. Both I and Cortaz used a Shallow Feed lure. Denis used a small red & white Shad Rap popper which was also deadly. We lost at least as many fish and we caught. All fish were released.
Back agian this morning. The sun was blaring and the water was gin clear. Terrible conditions for fishing..... nobody told the fish that they should not feed!!! Bass heaven is all that it could be described. Cortaz remarked that at one stage he lokked over and 3 of us were into good fish at the same time. A quick estimate would be over 40 fish caught. Guess who caught the most again. He definitely has a magnet on his lure. Most fish were taken on the same plug. They were generally better than the night before coming in at 2.5-4.5 lbs.
As I write this report the lads are back on the mark no doubt catching more fish. I am crying at no being there!!!!!!! Bet they will catch 60 tonight.

Re: West Waterford, 19th & 20th June
well done that's deadly fishing, went out there tonight for an hour and got 3 the best about 4lb. As it got shallower I changed over to a surface lure and missed a few takes. Some load of splashing, jumping, swirling fish out there. Left at midnight

Species....good film.....I'll get my coat

Seanie, the Shad Rap seems to get a great number of follows and Denis had a few nice fish on it. Very exciting to watch the fish going for the lure.
