First lure caught fish of 2009

I've been having a pretty poor time of it so far this year. Normally I'd have had a good few at this stage on lures but so far this year, despite three months of effort, zilch....until tonight :D !!! Up pops this beauty....

Well done Pat - hopefully you will start catching now.
What size was it?
Cod season Winter 2013/14: 117 cod (best fish: 6.5 lbs)
Cod season Winter 2014/15: 193 cod (best fish: 4.25 lbs)

I though it looked to be a fine size alright - great fish Pat.

call that a bass - ha - spendin too much time with Danny! Just wait . . . I'm goin fishin for a few sessions the next few weeks. You have one option - go down to dungarvan with chestwaders and shallow/surface plugs and fish in front of dem oyster beds about 2hours either side of lw on a the next big springs. You'l do well although I hear it can be a bit crowded at times. nice bass pat. have had a few pollack on jellyworms lately, good craic on light gear.
