Report: With the Bass ban over we decided to try a Clare beach for a few hours to try for some silver, arrived to find Baitdigger set up quick hellos...and then big Lug baits were loaded up on 3/0 pennel pully rigs and fired out...the grassy weed was in the water but we managed to avoid most of it... with the wind coming straight from the South it was flattening off the sea which wasn't helping matters things were very slow so we started varying the distances i put a flapper in close trying to save the blank as we'd both seen fish breaking cover in the wash a Turbot and a Flounder.... Baitdigger lost a fish on the way in while i got a Flounder on the last cast... will try again when there's a some surf kicing up.

weekend looks better tides ect ,it is a nice slab of flounder rag is out fishing lug over this side for every fish known to man

The weather and the tide wasnt kind to us. Things should pick up when all that brown weed has settled out of it. Im going to try the lures round the rocks at the end of the mark.

Nice Flounder saved the dreaded blank

Hard luck on the bass - but well done on a nice flounder.
I headed out myself last night in search of bass but just managed one flounder too, although mine was a lot smaller. What started out as a pleasant evening turned into a atrocious night, strong wind blowing parallel to the beach, strong current pulling up my gripper weights and dragging them down the beach and heavy horizontal rain and not a bass to be had
