well the mullet are a strange fish dan, as you know yourself.

what you want to do is look really closely at the weather over the past 2 weeks and compare this week to last. look at everything, humidity, wind speed and direction, temp, pressure and things like how constant the weather has been.

all these factors affect the mullet, even things like pressure and humidity, which we may not notice but have a huge effect on the fishing.

i think that mullet will feed in bad weather but they need time to get used to it, and we will rarely see them in adverse conditions as they will probably be feeding sub-surface.

so what you want to do is start taking notes on when the mullet are there, and then take notes on when they are not and compare what factors affect them most. then you will be able to tell when it is worth going fishing, and when its time to give it a miss.

edit: i almost forgot. take note of the moon too, it has a massive impact on how they feed and their movement.

thats the other thing, if you start taking notes on one area, don't expect them to be the same as notes from another area. sometimes fishing for fish just 10-15 kilometers away can be very different.

looks like you were right, they were there today feeding, was hard to fish for them.
